Exit 276B no longer exists. Take exit 276 and turn left.
From Veterans Memorial Highway (NM 599), exit onto Camino La Tierra and go 4.8 miles northwest.
Turn right off pavement onto (Old) Buckman Road and continue 10.2 miles northwest to its end at the
Rio Grande. Park in the clearing on the right.
Thanks to the BDD project, Buckman Road is a much smoother ride.
The project site is directly across the road from the parking area, but it has not interfered with Hike 33.
Hike 34, however, now begins with a detour around the project site.
