It's tempting to pull off SR 279 to explore the gorgeous scenery in
and around Bibo. If you do, however, be aware that "some people
might kill you." This according to an agitated villager who caught me
admiring a local chapel. (Or morada, to be more precise.)
On a related note: Don't bother looking for (or even asking about)
Our Lady of Loretto.
Friendly staff at the Bibo Bar can best advise on how to avoid death
threats while enjoying the local sights. If you call ahead, they can
probably hook you up with a local guide. Either way, the burgers
alone are worth the trip. They also have a charming new B&B.
